Although birthmarks in general are pretty common, there are various types of birthmarks that can be more rare than others. Mariana Mendes from Brazil has one particularly rare mark on her face called congenital melanocytic nevus. It's a huge black spot that covers a big portion of her face. Although this may sound like something many people would be embarrassed of, Mendes feels the complete opposite.
Instead of hiding it or attempting to get rid of it, Mendes embraces the birthmark. While some insult it and call it ugly, she thinks of it as a beautiful difference that separates her from everyone else.
